Google SketchUp

In time, my good old Sony Wega CRT TV will be replaced by a state-of-the-art flat screen. When this happens, I need a new (television) cupboard in my living room. The current one isn't large enough to host a mega TFT panel. Since these things don't come cheap, and are never right (cause it also needs to hold the receiver/amplifier and stuff), I decided to 'draw' one myself.
Drawing on a piece of paper is for those who can't use computer, and the computer has this great option called UNDO  . Next thing on the agenda was to find an easy to use 3D drawing program. Well Google SketchUp is just perfectly suited for these things.
It's a bit getting used to the controls and functions (took me about an hour), but after that... the sky is the limit (or so they say).
Anyway, I (kinda) finished my new cupboard. All I need now is someone who wants to put it together  .
I'm a bit hesitative about the width of the middle section. Don't know if I should make it wider to support future ultra wide TFT (or plasma) screens.......

Sketch up worked great for years but now since the Mac Intel it is extremely unstable
crashes all the time. I literally have to click several times just to get he tools to change
If anyone knows an alternative to this I sure would like to hear from you. I am doing
Architectural design and it is pretty frustrating trying to work with such an unstable program. It is slower now than it was on my G4.
Hello Steve,
The project I did was made on an Intel Mac (MacBook Pro). No crashes for at the time, but I must confess that I haven't used the program in the last couple of months.
Yes Willem, the Mac Book does not seem to have the same problem.
Apparently couple of years ago when I bought the system (Tower) the
Sketchup people were trying not tick any vendors off and would not give me any feed back at all on the problem. I think the problem may be in the X1900XT Graphics Card of course ATI has always unimpressed with Apple.
I have upgraded the firm ware and have yet to work with it as I had to drop sketch up in favor of Vector Works which actually likes Apple?
