Getting a New Camera Bag

I intend to do some travelling the next couple of weeks, and for that I need a bigger/safer (more ergonomic) shoulder bag for my camera gear. Since I travel to some areas where people roam the streets that are extremely interested in what you carry around, I need a inconspicuous bag.

Domke F-5XZFirst inline was the Domke F-5XZ WaxWear bag. About the right size and according to the website convenient zippers to protect your gear from certain fingers.

When I received the bag (ordered it online) it turned out that there were no zippers, and also no convenient 'bottom zippered flap which allows easy access'. Two things that made me decide to get the bag weren't there. So I decided to sent that bag back.
I tried to get the non-WaxWear version of the bag (which has the zippers), but that one wasn't available (anymore). So, off to start looking at other brands.

ThinkTank Retrospective 30The next bag I stumbled upon is the ThinkTank Retrospective 30. From the specs, everything that I could ever need (basically a slightly bigger Domke, with zippers). Unfortunately, this bag is brand new, and isn't for sale yet in Europe (it's on back-order everywhere). I tried Adorama, but they have this annoying thing about not showing item availability. So they told me after two days that the item was also on backorder (they do need to improve their website on that issue).
I cancelled the order, since they expect to have it in stock somewhere in June. Include shipping and customs delays, and the thing arrives the day after I go on holiday. So also a no-go.

Billingham 225 Black TanThe third choice is the Billingham 225 camera bag (Black/Tan version). The item is in stock at a local camera store, and I'm picking it up tomorrow.

Note that the ThinkTank will remain on my list of things to get. I might even sell the Billingham 225 after I get back from my holiday and replace it with the ThinkTank. So if you're thinking about getting a Billingham 225 and you're willing to wait a bit, you might be able to buy mine.

Next post will probably a basic review of the bag. Later on (after the holiday) a more extensive review of the bag.
